What is the accommodation like?
We offer luxury, spacious single occupancy rooms with double beds. We also provide a spacious living area and kitchen with all modern amenities.
Do I have to share a room?
No, all our rooms are single occupancy.
Do I have to share a bathroom?
We have a room with an ensuite bathroom and there are no more than 2 people sharing each of the other bathrooms provided.
What is the atmosphere of the treatment centre?
The setting of a treatment centre can be just as important as the treatment itself. We pride ourselves in providing a safe, supportive and tranquil atmosphere.
What can I bring with me?
Comfortable clothing, clothing suitable for exercise and outdoors, your own towels and toiletries.
Can I have my mobile phone?
You are expected to hand your mobile phone in during the day when you are at the treatment facility, but this is returned to you at the end of the day.
What about meals?
We provide a large kitchen area at the accommodation which includes all modern amenities, pots and pans, you just need to purchase the food and cook it for yourself.
Can I receive letters and parcels?
You can receive letters and parcels however these must be delivered at the treatment centre and will be checked by a staff member before they are given to you.
What do I do about money for living expenses?
Acquiesce offer a money management service where we can dispense your money to you for budgeting purposes or you have the option to manage your own money.
Can I have visits from friends and family?
Yes, visits are done at the treatment centre at the weekend and you can book these using the visit request form.
Can I go out on my own?
No, you are expected to stay in the company of your peers or staff.
What if I need to see a GP?
During your stay at Acquiesce you will be registered under the care of a GP.
What if I need to attend appointments?
We will provide you with escorted leave to any vital healthcare appointments.
Can I be asked to leave?
We have a code of behaviour and house rules which will be explained to you before and on admission, your treatment may be terminated with Acquiesce should these be broken.
Do I have to tell my employer?
It is entirely your choice whether you disclose your treatment with your employer. All treatment offered by Acquiesce is private and confidential.
Can I bring my laptop/tablet/games console?
Yes, you can bring these items.
Can I smoke?
Yes, we provide smoking areas.
Is there any outside space?
Yes, we have a maintained garden area and an outside space equipped with tables and seating areas.
Can I bring my car?
No, cars are not permitted during residential treatment. Dayhab clients are permitted to travel to and from the treatment centre in their cars. There are car parks available within the vicinity of the treatment centre.
Will I have time to get bored? Will I be kept busy?
You will be kept busy at all times, however you do have relaxation and private time.
Am I locked in? Is it a prison?
Rehab is actually the exact opposite. Our only goal is to provide a safe environment for you to recover from your addiction and to make you feel as comfortable as possible.
Will you speak with my family?
Yes, we provide a weekly update call to your designated family member.
Can my family get help?
Yes, there are many external support groups available for the family, we can provide you with a list of relevant contacts.
Do you offer a family support group?
Yes, we offer a monthly family support group led by our professional practitioners.
What are the housekeeping arrangements?
We offer a weekly housekeeping service.
Is there Wi-Fi I can use?
Yes, we offer free Wi-Fi at the accommodation.
Can I bring my medication?
Yes, you are provided with safe storage and lockable facilities.
